A Colorful Spring Wedding at Westwind Hills

Spring weddings have a way of feeling effortlessly joyful, and Shayla & Isaac's May celebration at Westwind Hills was exactly that. Set against the venue's bright white architecture and rolling green landscape, their day embraced cheerful color, meaningful moments, and timeless elegance.

Rather than leaning into a traditional neutral palette, they chose vibrant blooms in shades of coral, hot pink, peach, buttery yellow, soft blue, and lavender—a combination that perfectly reflected the energy of late spring while still feeling refined and romantic.

A Bright, Modern Venue That Lets Color Shine

One of the things I love most about Westwind Hills is how naturally it complements colorful floral designs.

The clean white walls, soaring windows, and abundant natural light create the perfect backdrop for garden-inspired arrangements. Instead of competing with the florals, the venue allows every bloom to stand out beautifully.

From the bridal suite to the ceremony space and reception, every corner felt fresh, airy, and welcoming.

Garden-Inspired Florals Full of Movement

For Shayla's bouquet, we designed a lush, hand-tied arrangement overflowing with seasonal blooms and plenty of natural movement.

Peonies, garden roses, ranunculus, tulips, delphinium, snapdragons, and delicate textural accents came together to create a bouquet that felt organic, whimsical, and full of personality.

Her bridesmaids carried coordinating bouquets in soft sky-blue dresses that made every color pop without overwhelming the overall design.

The result was playful, elegant, and unmistakably spring.

A Ceremony Framed by Flowers

Instead of a traditional floral arch, we designed four abundant pedestal arrangements that framed the ceremony while allowing the venue's dramatic windows to remain the focal point.

The elevated designs created a balanced, intentional backdrop while maintaining the airy feel of the room.

One of my favorite details? After the ceremony, these same arrangements were thoughtfully repurposed for the reception—giving the couple even more impact from their floral investment.

It's one of my favorite ways to maximize both beauty and budget.

Reception Details That Felt Cohesive

Inside the reception space, colorful floral centerpieces were paired with votive candles and pastel taper candles to create warmth without distracting from the flowers themselves.

The combination of:

  • Vibrant florals

  • Soft candlelight

  • Clean white linens

  • Light blue napkins

  • Clear glass vessels

created a reception that felt fresh, modern, and welcoming.

Every table carried the same joyful energy while still allowing guests to comfortably converse across the room.

A Day Filled With Joy

Some weddings simply radiate happiness, and this was one of them.

From the excitement of getting ready with friends, to emotional portraits, a ceremony filled with celebration, and a packed dance floor that lasted well into the evening, every part of the day reflected Shayla & Isaac's personalities.

It's always an honor to create flowers for couples who aren't afraid to embrace color, and seeing everything come together exactly as envisioned is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.
